In the industrialised countries of the West, many people's diets are not always well balanced, and oftentimes e.g. the intake of fat is too high. The problem is not limited to an excessive intake of fat, though, and also involves the way in which the fats consumed are combined with one another. Measured in terms of overall energy intake, the share of certain polyunsaturated fatty acids – such as Omega-3 fatty acids, which the body produces either not at all or only in small quantities – can be too low.
Found primarily in cold-water fish, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexanoic acid (DHA) are among the Omega-3 fatty acids that should also be consumed as part of a healthy diet. They are significant base materials for an array of metabolically active compounds in our body – substances known as eicosanoids that benefit cardiovascular function and keep the system healthy.
The recommended amount of Omega-3 fatty acids is contained e.g. in 2 or 3 fish meals (e.g. salmon) each week. Because this is not always possible, you can use Schaebens Omega-3 of Salmon Oil mixed concentrate for a sensible food supplement with Omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, vitamin E promotes the degradation of free radicals, protecting important biological structures such as polyunsaturated fatty acids in the membranes of the body's cells. This, in turn, benefits the entire cardiovascular system.
Recommended daily consumption: Take 1 capsule per day with a glass of water prior to a meal. Do not chew capsules.
Each Schaebens Omega-3 Capsule contains 650 mg of a salmon oil mixed concentrate with at least 195 mg of Omega-3-fatty acids. In addition, each capsule contains 10 mg vitamin E, which is known for its protective properties.

To guarantee uniform amounts of the Omega-3 fatty acids Eicosapentaen (EPA) and Docosahexaen (DHA), other high-quality fish oils exhibiting concentrated amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids are contained in the capsules in addition to salmon oil.
